At the end
of the long straight, a couple of early arrivals watch the practice
for the antique-class race. The German tourists should be piling out
of that tour bus any minute.
"Uh-oh, mate,
I think we might be in for a spot of trouble."
A VERY fast metallic-red
Cobra roars by the ominous sign on the middle-straight wall.
What is it about billboards
that attracts police cars?
An old Aurora vibrator
police cruiser discourages spectators from the dangerous spot near
the chicane.
The maintenance shed
in the infield area of Dino Curve.
What that Majorette
cattle truck is doing there is anybody's guess.
Headless driver figure?
No problem, when you
can print up your own team-name stickers.
Picnicking spectators
fearlessly watch the race from the bluff overlooking Memorial
Curve.
Tricky wind patterns
make the chicane a challenge even for experienced drivers. Note
that the flags on the pylons are blowing toward each other.
The start-finish pylons
are very old Aurora models. They drop the flags when the hay-bales
on the bases are pushed.
GT cars
streak down the track along the billboard wall. The management must
have repaved the straight rather thickly since the signs were painted.
